Michael Page offered a lighthearted response to online criticism after the UFC chose not to renew his contract following a unanimous decision win over Nursulton Ruziboev at UFC Paris.
The 39-year-old Englishman posted a photo of himself attempting to push a large rock upward, captioned "Me trying to handle the internet's opinions," per Sherdog. UFC CEO Dana White confirmed two days after the Paris event that the promotion would not bring Page back despite his 5-1 record across six Octagon appearances.
Page went the distance in all six UFC fights and failed to produce the knockouts that defined his Bellator career. Sherdog reported that crowds frequently booed his performances. Bare-Knuckle Boxing Championship president Dave Feldman has expressed interest in signing Page, who competed in bare-knuckle before joining the UFC.
Jake Paul also suggested Most Valuable Promotions could pursue the former Bellator standout. Page has not announced his next destination.
