Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly poached Italy Under-19 goalkeeper Renato Marin from Roma, where he will work with Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The 18-year-old shot-stopper will turn 19 in July and his current contract with the Giallorossi is set to expire on June 30.
As a free agent, he has been able to negotiate his next move and L’Equipe report he has decided to join Paris Saint-Germain.
He has been offered a five-year deal to make the move to Ligue 1, where he’ll become their third-choice goalkeeper.
It will bolster the number of Italian players in the squad, as Marin can work alongside Azzurri hero Donnarumma.
However, L’Equipe also report that Roma will try to make it difficult for him, refusing to release the player before his contract expires on June 30.
That would rule Marin out of the PSG squad for the Club World Cup.
Although he was born in Brazil, Marin has joint Italian citizenship, came to the Roma youth academy in 2022 and has 13 caps for Italy at Under-19 level.
