Paris Saint-Germain will block Barcelona’s attempts to re-sign Xavi Simons

In recent weeks, Barcelona have been heavily linked with Xavi Simons, a player they know very well from this time at La Masia. They are very interested in securing a return for the Dutch international in the summer.

Barcelona want to loan Simons, but their chances of doing so look very slim as of right now, According to Sport , Paris Saint-Germain have no plans to loan out the 21-year-old – and they will definitely not entertain one to Barcelona.

PSG do not count on Simons as a starter for next season, and the player himself has little intention of returning to the French capital. His preference is to return to Barcelona, but it seems like that will be unlikely now.

At this stage, Simons is most likely to return to RB Leipzig, where he is currently on loan. Barcelona do not intend to give up on a deal, but they now see it as very complicated to complete.
