Parma are reportedly in the race for Rennes and Wales international midfielder Jordan James, along with Wrexham and Ipswich Town.
The midfielder only just turned 21 last month and already has 20 senior caps for his country.
He was a product of the Birmingham City youth academy and earned a €5m transfer to Stade Rennais last summer.
James made 25 competitive appearances for the French team, scoring one goal and contributing an assist for his teammates too.
According to the East Anglian Daily Times newspaper and Tuttomercatoweb, Parma are one of the candidates eager to sign James and bring him to Serie A.
However, they are not the favourites, because their proposal to Rennes is only a loan with option to buy at the end of the season.
On the other hand, both Championship clubs Wrexham and Ipswich Town are prepared to pay to purchase him outright straight away.
It is a very busy time for Parma, who already picked up Gaetano Oristanio from Venezia and Patrick Cutrone from Como today.
