Parma have yet to seal a deal for Inter Milan striker Sebastiano Esposito, with Cagliari making a last-ditch effort to sign the 23-year-old.

This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews.

The last couple days have seen Parma take a surprise lead in the race for Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito.

It has always seemed clear that the Italy Under-21 international would leave Inter for good this summer.

Esposito has gone out on a string of loan moves. Last season he was on loan at Empoli.

But this summer, Inter are keen to sell Esposito outright once and for all.

A few clubs had shown an interest in signing Esposito this summer.

Fiorentina have been eyeing up a deal for the 23-year-old for weeks. Meanwhile, Cagliari have pushed strongly in the last few days, seemingly getting close to securing Esposito’s signature.

However, Parma have made a last-minute push to sign Esposito.

Nevertheless, according to FCInterNews, the Emilian club have not yet wrapped up a deal for Esposito altogether.

And in the meantime, the outlet anticipate, today Cagliari have returned to the table.

The Rossoblu’s talks with Inter had broken down. However, they are ready to make another push to get ahead of Parma.
