Parma have emerged as surprise favourites in the race to sign Inter forward Sebastiano Esposito, after reports from Italy claim Cagliari have missed out on signing the striker.
According to what has been reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Cagliari were on the verge of signing the Inter forward but now the young Italian looks set to join Parma instead.
The reports indicate that it was Parma’s strong desire to sign the player that convinced his change of heart, after Cagliari looked a certain destination for the 23-year-old.
Parma have made an offer of a reported €4 million for Esposito, with bonuses and a sell-on percentage yet to be fully agreed. It is reported that the sell-on will likely be 50% for Inter and the additional bonuses will be ironed out in the coming hours and days.
Parma want to close the deal before the weekend and it looks to be full steam ahead.
