Although he may not held in the same regard as Wayne Rooney or Cristiano Ronaldo among those in the Manchester United fanbase, the idea that Patrice Evra is an Old Trafford great is not up for debate.

The left-back – who is now renowned for his charismatic nature and made-for-consumption personality – arrived at the club in 2006 from AS Monaco.

Nobody could foresee him going onto make 379 appearances in red and picking up an array of trophies along the way, which includes five Premier League titles and the solitary Champions League crown.

Following eight years of terrific service on the left of Sir Alex Ferguson’s trusty back four, he moved to Juventus before spending time at Marseille and West Ham United.

Patrice Evra finally hung up his boots and retired in 2018 after playing just five times for in the capital for West Ham.

Since his retirement, the colourful Frenchman has transitioned into a multi-faceted career as a media personality (evidenced by him taking part in The Sidemen’s ‘Inside’ show last year) and a businessman.

Elsewhere, reports have now suggested that he is selling his multi-million pound mansion, which is located in Manchester.

A number of former United stars have been putting their houses up for sale in recent times: David Beckham’s £21.3 million mansion in Miami was recently sold as the prime example.

Evra’s home, a five-bedroom mansion in Hale, Greater Manchester, is also up now available for would-be buyers, an exclusive report from the Daily Mail has revealed.

Strangely, there is a mural of Sergio Aguero on the wall. He is celebrating the goal that saw Manchester City win the Premier League title for the first time in 2012.

The former City frontman rented the house off the former United and France defender when he moved to England and regularly posted pictures of him inside.

Now, Patrice Evra, according to the Daily Mail’s report, is putting the mansion up for sale.

They suggest that Evra is hoping to earn £3,495,000 from the sale of his stunning residence in Manchester – but that would mean that he is taking a loss on his initial investment.

Reportedly, the 44-year-old – who chalked up ten goals and 30 assists during his spell at United – coughed up £3,750,000 for the mansion in 2011 when playing for the Red Devils.

Certainly luxurious, the detached family home possesses four floors, is accompanied with a lift and includes an open-plan games area, a gym, a swimming pool and steam room.

As expected, the rear garden offers the homeowner with plenty of space and Evra has been able to use the patio area, basketball court and brick built BBQ over the years.

The former United star, as mentioned, is not the only footballer to have lived in the humungous family home.

Aguero lived there for a number of years after Evra’s United departure – and it has, according to the report, been rented out for an eye-catching £20,000-per-month.
