Philadelphia Union GK Andre Blake signs new contract
Kyle Ross-USA TODAY Sports

Three-time MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Andre Blake signed a new contract Thursday that will keep him with the Philadelphia Union through 2026.

The deal includes a club option for 2027 for the 33-year-old Jamaica native, who broke into the MLS ranks with Philadelphia as the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2014.

"Since joining the team, Andre has been a foundational piece to the club's achievements," Union sporting director Ernst Tanner said. "He has shown himself to be one of the best goalkeepers in North America, and along with his proven sporting value, has taken on a leadership role both on and off the field. His guidance will play an important role in the further development of our young players and the team's success. We're happy to have reached an agreement to keep him here in Philadelphia."

Blake has made a franchise-record 236 appearances since his 2014 debut and has posted 73 clean sheets with a 1.23 goals-against average. The four-time MLS All-Star was the Goalkeeper of the Year in 2016, 2020 and 2022.

Blake helped Philadelphia win its first Supporters' Shield in 2020 and reach its first MLS Cup final in 2022, where the Union lost to Los Angeles FC on penalties.
