Milan boss Stefano Pioli is giving serious thought to the idea of starting Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the next two games, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that by the end of tomorrow, Pioli will have all the players available as some will return from their national team commitments, and he will thus be able to prepare for Sunday night’s game against Lazio in a more concrete way.

During the next few days Pioli will also constantly speak with Ibrahimovic, who could start against both Lazio and in the Champions League against Liverpool at Anfield. It is a possible double commitment that certainly does not scare Zlatan, but that must be studied correctly so as to avoid risk of further injury.

The 39-year-old is fine physically and wants to play immediately, but his playing time will have to be measured accordingly, which is why the idea of playing Ante Rebic as a striker has not yet vanished.
