Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Bilal El Khannouss from Leicester City.
According to Ben Jacobs, they are considering a move for the player, and he would be keen on joining a Premier League club. He has a relegation clause in his contract, which will allow him to leave the club for just £22 million.
Leeds United are interested in the player as well, and they have already made an enquiry. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham step up their pursuit with an official proposal for the player.
Ben Jacobs said: “Leeds United are the only club in the Premier League that have made a formal inquiry, but West Ham and Tottenham have considered doing so. Relatively easy deal to get done. You’ll see some reports out there saying that Leicester want a fee in excess of £25 million. That’s not true to my understanding. Bilal El Khannouss has a relegation release clause which can be triggered for just €26 million. So that’s a deal at around £22 million. Player wants a move. He wants to stay in the Premier League”.
They could use more creativity and technical ability in the middle of the park, and the 21-year-old could prove to be a useful acquisition. The opportunity to move to Tottenham will be quite exciting for him. They are a big club with an ambitious project, and he will compete in the Champions League with them.
The reported asking price is quite reasonable as well, and he could justify the investment in future. Thomas Frank could groom him into an important player for the club and help him fulfil his potential.
