Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou could be on his way to the MLS this summer.

The Australian manager was recently relieved of his duties despite guiding the club to their first trophy in 17 years.

Spurs decided to make a change

Spurs managed to win the UEFA Europa League under his management, but they were quite disappointing in the Premier League.

They finished just above the relegation zone, and for a club of their stature, it is simply unacceptable. The cup win cannot paper over the cracks at the club, and the managerial change could prove to be a wise decision.

Tottenham have brought in Thomas Frank as their new manager. The Danish manager has done an exceptional job at Brentford, and it will be interesting to see if he can help Tottenham bounce back strongly next season.

LAFC keen on Ange Postecoglou

Meanwhile, MLS outfit Los Angeles FC are plotting a move for the former Spurs boss, as per the Standard.

He could be set for a quick return to work, and his name is in the running to replace Steve Cherundolo, who is expected to step down from his role, and the 59-year-old could come to replace him.

LAFC have done quite well under Cherundolo, and they have won trophies like the Supporters Shield, MLS Cup double, as well as the US Open Cup title.

Postecoglou will be expected to guide them to more success in the coming seasons. He will be able to work with former Premier League players like Olivier Giroud and Hugo Lloris at LAFC. It remains to be seen whether he can complete the move in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have secured Champions League qualification for the next season, and they will look to do well in the Premier League as well. It will be interesting to see if they can plug the caps in their squad during the summer window and bring in quality additions.
