On September 13 at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal face Nottingham Forest in their first Premier League fixture after the international break. After losing to Liverpool, the Gunners will be eager to get back to winning ways. Nottingham Forest will also be looking to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat against West Ham. Here is our Arsenal predicted lineup.
Away to Liverpool, Mikel Arteta lined his team up in his favoured 4-3-3 formation, with plenty of movement and rotation demanded by the Arsenal boss. David Raya continued in goal, Jurriën Timber and Riccardo Calafiori started in the full-back positions, and William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães started at centre back.
The trio of Martin Zubimendi, Declan Rice, and Mikel Merino started in midfield, offering plenty of work rate and creativity.
Out wide, it was Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli, with Viktor Gyokeres starting in attack. Injuries to Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard left Arteta unable to select his strongest team before the international break. The potential return of Odegaard would be a huge boost for Arteta.
Despite injury worries, it appears Arteta will receive three potential boosts, with Piero Hincapie, the deadline day signing from Bayer Leverkusen, available. The Ecuadorian defender was seen training alongside Ben White and Christian Norgaard, who also look set to return after injuries.
Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus will miss the visit of Nottingham Forest, while Saka and Saliba could miss the game.
