Real Madrid end their 2023-24 La Liga season at home to Real Betis on Saturday evening. It promises to be a poignant occasion, with Toni Kroos playing in front of the Santiago Bernabeu faithful for the final time in his career, ahead of his retirement after this summer’s European Championship.

Unsurprisingly, Kroos will start against Real Betis in his Bernabeu bow, as per Marca . Carlo Ancelotti intends to name a strong line-up, perhaps with an eye on next weekend’s Champions League final. The likes of Thibaut Courtois, Dani Carvajal, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior are to return for the start.

Real Betis will be forced into changes for their final match of the season, with the likes of Rui Silva, William Carvalho and Pablo Fornals all having picked up injuries, joining Isco Alarcon and Guido Rodriguez in the treatment room. Sokratis will start in his final match of his career, while Sergi Altimira and Rodri Sanchez are in line to be re-called.

Real Madrid will be aiming to end this exemplary season on a high with another three points, which would take them to 97. Real Betis will hope to spoil the Kroos retirement party, although they will be up against it.
