Players could resume limited group training as early as Thursday, according to The Guardian, and will serve as the stepping stone for a possible season resume.
The next stages of the process will be far more difficult, and the Premier League is in a wildly different situation than Germany's Bundesliga. On Sunday, the United Kingdom reported 3,534 new coronavirus cases, which is much more than the 589 new cases Germany reported on the same day.
If the number of cases in the UK continues to either float around that same mark or continue to rise, then the Premier League's hopes of finishing the season may be thwarted.
While Bundesliga's return was very successful, we've already seen France's Ligue 1 cancel their season because of the pandemic.
The EPL resuming training, though, is an encouraging sign, and we may have even more soccer to watch in the near future.
