Tottenham Hotspur have sounded out a few potential transfers this summer, as Roberto De Zerbi aims to build upon their disastrous 2025/26 season in the Premier League. They only missed out on relegation on the final day, but they look to be in a much stronger position heading into the next campaign.
They have identified a target to help bolster their squad. According to a report from journalist Geert Lambaerts [via Napoli Magazine], Spurs are ‘in the mix’ to acquire his signature in the summer transfer window.
The Lilywhites aren’t alone in their pursuit, however. Napoli are also understood to be interested in the player, while Newcastle United are also monitoring his progress. Furthermore, La Gazetta dello Sport also claims that Inter Milan are looking to seal a deal for the 21-year-old.
Interest in the Israeli international is certainly high as things stand. His current club, Union SG, are under no pressure to sell him as of yet. While his existing deal will expire in the summer of 2028, they have the option to extend it by an additional year.
He won’t come cheap, either. According to Nicolò Schira, relayed on X (formerly Twitter) by Capology, SG value him at around 25 million euros (£21.5 million). As things stand, it is unclear if Newcastle or Spurs are willing to meet this asking price.
| Games | Goals | Assists | Yellow Cards | Red Cards | |
| A. Khalaili | 38 | 3 | 5 | 7 | 0 |
When one initially glances at Khalaili’s stats in the Juliper Pro League from last season, you could be fooled into thinking that he isn’t a particularly impressive talent. Three goals across 38 games in a league far weaker than the Premier League doesn’t immediatlely make for inspiring viewing.
However, this does not tell the full story – far from it. His domestic goalscoring record may well have been modest, but it is important to remember that he scored three goals in eight Champions League games last season. Netting against Atalanta and scoring a brace against Marseille, he made a name for himself in Europe’s top competition.
On top of this, he was often fielded as a right midfielder for SG last season, rather than as an out-and-out winger – both Newcastle and Tottenham would allow him to strut his stuff in a more advanced role.
A brave, direct winger who loves to take players on using his technical ability and underrated strength, Khalaili looks like a player who is tailor-made for the Premier League.
Not only is he a dangerous attacking player, he is also very hard-working and never shirks his defensive duties. A winger built for the modern game, he has no issues with contributing to a hard press. For manager such as Roberto De Zerbi, who always demands this of his players, he looks like the perfect fit.
Both teams are in need of options out wide at the moment. Newcastle have just lost Anthony Gordon to Barcelona, while Spurs have very few quality wide men on their books. Players such as Mohamed Kudus and Dejan Kulusevski simply cannot stay fit.
