Another Premier League gameweek has concluded – league leaders Arsenal got back to winning ways, but who made it into our team of the week?
A couple of Gunners made the grade, alongside Manchester United, Manchester City and Brighton players – but who are they?
Senne Lammens didn’t have an enormous amount of work to do when Manchester United travelled to Everton, but he pulled off the save of the weekend when he kept out an audacious effort from Michael Keane.
The 23-year-old isn’t the finished product by any means, but he has shown incredibly promising signs during his at United so far.
Diogo Dalot did everything you could ask for in a full-back against Everton. He put forth some diligent defensive work, provided a threat down the right flank and never stopped running.
Dalot was unlucky to not score in the first half with a wicked dipping effort, then was additionally unfortunate to not get an assist when Benjamin Sesko spurned a golden opportunity later on. A good outing for the Portuguese international, but it could’ve been so much more with a bit of luck.
James Hill continues to impress at the heart of Bournemouth’s defence. This time, he played a vital role in securing a clean sheet away at West Ham.
The Hammers have been in good form as of late, especially in front of goial, but Hill was on hand to snuff out any foray into the box from Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.
Brighton have been on a torrid run as of late, but Jan Paul van Hecke stepped up to help his team secure three vital points away at Brentford.
He made plenty of clearances as the Bees continually lofted the ball into the box – this was a mature display from the 25-year-old.
Crystal Palace have also struggled for a good run of form over the last couple of months – there could be no qualms with Tyrick Mitchell’s performance against Wolves, however.
Palace themselves might have been lacklustre, but Mitchell was on hand to register an assist and secure a clean sheet for the Eagles.
Alex Iwobi was back to his creative best when Fulham took on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. The Black Cats have had a good home record this season, but the Cottagers put them to the sword nonetheless.
The Nigerian international scored a goal and racked up an assist from the heart of midfield in a 3-1 victory.
Nico O’Reilly is swiftly becoming one of England’s best young talents. He was phenomenal against Newcastle United, making late runs into the box to cause havoc within their backline.
He scored a pair of excellent goals for his efforts – he is surely a part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans at the 2026 World Cup in the summer.
Despite being played out of postition on the right wing, Diego Gomez was Brighton’s star player in their clash with Brentford.
The 22-year-old poked home an instinctive effort after Ferdi Kadioglu’s effort hit the bar, then put himself to work by harrying the Bees’ defenders for the rest of the game.
Eberechi Eze is turning into Tottenham’s worst nightmare. After they missed out on signing him in the summer, he came back to bite them once again by scoring a brace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Similar to the reverse fixture, Spurs simply couldn’t handle the former Palace man’s dribbling, movement and intelligence on the ball in a 4-1 rout.
Raul Jimenez continues to prove why he is one of the most underrated strikers in the Premier League – he demonstrated this as such when he netted a brace against Sunderland.
He met Alex Iwobi’s corner with a towering header to score his first, then got his second by the way of a well-taken penalty.
Some might say Viktor Gyokeres has been a flop this season for Arsenal – but if his performance against Spurs was anything to go by, those people couldn’t be more wrong.
Gyokeres put forth an impassioned display in the North London derby, covering more ground than any other attacking player on the field – he also scored a brace along the way.
