Kylian Mbappe has apologised to PSG fans for their Champions League semifinal defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Mbappe admits he struggled on the night.

He said afterwards: "I tried to help my team as well as I could, but I didn't do enough. When we talk about being effective in the fields, I am the target. It is I who must score goals and be decisive.

"When things go well, I take all the limelight, and when things don't go well, you have to stand in the shadows. It is no problem.

"The first one who should have scored tonight was me. Such is life and we have to move on, me and the team.

"I don't like to talk about being unlucky. When you're good, it doesn't hit the post, it goes in. Today we were not good enough, us attackers."
