L’Équipe reported Saturday that the club has advanced its pursuit of the LOSC goalkeeper, who is under contract until 2027.

Talks over a five-year deal began several days ago, and the 23-year-old has already reached a broad agreement with PSG. Only minor details remain between the two clubs as negotiations with Lille are now expected to begin.

PSG are well aware of what lies ahead — club president Olivier Létang is known for being firm when it comes to selling top players. A deal is expected to cost at least €40 million, a figure PSG have already reviewed internally and are ready to meet.

ESPN recently reported that Aston Villa have reached out to LOSC Lille about a potential move for Chevalier. The Frenchman is considered a possible replacement for Emiliano Martínez, who is exploring a move away from the club. Nonetheless, it seems as though Aston Villa will be missing out.
