Amid the rumors linking Muñoz to the Parisians, PSG expert Robin Bairner shared his thoughts on the Parisians pursuing the Colombian standout during the winter transfer window.
“One name who has been linked with PSG is Crystal Palace’s Daniel Muñoz,” Bairner wrote in his latest column for Ensemble PSG. “Stylistically, he’s a great fit. There are a few players who can replace Hakimi, who, for my money, was the best player in the world last season. The Colombian, though, has been the Premier League’s standout right-back this season by a street.
“While some critics might point to his age of 29 as being an issue, this could play into PSG’s hands. Yes, it’s not the usual profile of a player who has arrived at Parc des Princes, but equally, Muñoz is a player who would have a short-term job. His role would be to act as backup to Hakimi for the next two or three years before Boly fully emerges.”
