With Chelsea no longer involved, the focus has shifted to Liverpool and Inter, who have moved into position as the main contenders in the race for the highly rated defender.
Inter’s interest dates back months. Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that the Serie A club have kept close tabs on Ordonez, but any deal would not come cheap. The defender agreed to a contract extension last September that runs through 2029, setting the stage for a hefty transfer fee.
