One area that Paris Saint-Germain didn’t get to address this summer was adding a midfielder of Marco Verratti’s caliber. Various rumors linked the capital club to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba; however, that move never materialized.

After raiding players at the end of their contract this summer, it appears as though they’ll be looking to do so next year, too, with AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessié at the top of the list.

The 24-year-old has one year left on his contract, with his deal expiring in June 2022. According to Foot Mercato, PSG is taking action at two different levels to land Kessié. First, by preparing the ground with the midfielder and his agent.

PSG could offer him a salary of around €9-million annually, while the latest offer made by AC Milan would see him make €6.8 million annually, should he remain with the Serie A side.

Furthermore, the French media outlet adds that PSG sporting director Leonardo and Paolo Maldini mentioned a possible negotiation in January if Kessié ever decided to leave the club, to recover a small transfer fee.
