Newly appointed Paris Saint-Germain football advisor Luis Campos remains on the hunt for a veteran center-back to bolster the team’s backline. He has turned his attention to Inter Milan center-back Milan Skriniar, and his latest attempt to sign him came up quite short.

According to a report from the Italian-based outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG’s latest offer to Inter Milan for Skriniar centered on a €60 million transfer fee and midfielder Julian Draxler.

The reigning Coppa Italia champions subsequently turned down the offer, as they are aiming to offload the Slovakian defender for a transfer fee only.

The report further adds that the Serie A side would consider parting ways with Skriniar if PSG or another club places a hefty €70 million offer on the table for him.

Inter Milan has been adamant about not taking in a player in a deal centering on Skriniar. Earlier in the month, PSG reportedly offered Thilo Kehrer to the Serie A side in an attempt to lower the price tag for Skriniar. Inter Milan club officials turned down such attempts by the French powerhouse.

PSG has no major need for a center-back in the summer transfer window, but Campos is looking to shore up depth concerns within the group.
