On Tuesday, Foot Mercato reported that Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera is on PSG’s transfer radar this summer to continue injecting youth into the center-back position. A 20-year-old Spanish international prospect, this strong central defender is powerful, fast, and tough in duels. A key player for Valencia, the Alicante native could be sold by the club to boost its finances.

Fichajes recently reported that PSG have already begun planning for life after Marquinhos, with the club targeting Mosquera. The decision to move on from Marquinhos isn’t solely based on his form.

At 30, the Brazilian still holds solid market value, and selling him would free up wages and generate funds that could be reinvested to strengthen other areas of the squad.

Cadena SER’s latest report suggests Arsenal are preparing a summer bid for the Spanish-Colombian defender. The English club is reportedly willing to offer around €20 million, a fee that Valencia views as fair for one of their top young talents.

However, Mosquera has several suitors ahead of the summer transfer window. As a result, PSG and Arsenal face competition for the defender, with AC Milan and Juventus also having been linked with him in the past.
