Neymar Jr. hasn’t hidden how he feels about Ousmane Dembélé replacing him at Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian siding with FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie. However, it’s the Frenchman who is having the last laugh so far.

The Parisians netted four consecutive goals against Barcelona in the 4-1 second-leg win (6-4 on aggregate), with Dembélé striking against his former team just before halftime. Additionally, the 26-year-old generated the penalty kick chance after João Cancelo fouled him inside the box.

After PSG advanced to the semifinal, where they’ll face Borussia Dortmund, Dembélé received man of the match honors. Furthermore, a report from RMC Sport notes that, despite Neymar’s criticism, Dembélé smiled in response.

The Parisian winger once again proved decisive, scoring two goals in the final stages of the Champions League, close to Neymar’s tally in his six years at PSG. Sporting advisor Luis Campos also couldn’t stop praising a player he described as special.

If the Ligue 1 side wants to advance past Dortmund and punch their ticket to Wembley Stadium for the final, Dembélé will need to play a major role.
