Christian Pulisic is the only Serie A representative in the latest USMNT squad, as his Milan teammate Yunus Musah and Juventus’s Weston McKennie have not been called up by Maurizio Pochettino.

USMNT squad: Pulisic returns, no Musah or McKennie

The USA will take on South Korea in New Jersey on September 7 and against Japan in Ohio on October 10 in a pair of international friendlies.

Star attacker Pulisic returns to Pochettino’s squad after skipping the CONCACAF Gold Cup earlier this summer, but Musah and McKennie have not yet been called up.

The USMNT have currently selected 22 players and are due to include one more to make a squad of 23, with the final spot in the roster yet to be confirmed.

Either way, at least one of Musah or McKennie will be left at home.

Pulisic is coming in off the back of a surprise 2-1 loss to Cremonese in the opening round of Serie A fixtures in the weekend just gone. He started at centre-forward alongside Mexico international Santiago Gimenez in Massimiliano Allegri’s 3-5-2, but was not on target on this occasion.
