Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring in a new wide forward in the upcoming 2026 windows. Thomas Frank is looking to add that sure quality option in his roster for the flanks, and that is where the Lilywhites have figured Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo as a prospective option.
The Lilywhites did try to bring in Semenyo in the last summer window, but the Cherries were set on keeping hold of him. And suddenly he came back from the off season with all guns ablaze. He started impacting games left, right, and centre.
Semenyo has 11 appearances in the Premier League this season. He has scored six goals and three assists in those appearances in the English top tier.

And the North Londoners remain interested in his signatures. And given that there have been recent reports about a possible £65m release clause in his contract at Vitality Stadium when that winter window comes around, the Lilywhites, like many other Premier League clubs, smell an opportunity.
And former Tottenham ace Darren Bent has poured petrol on the North Londoners’ plans for the upcoming January window. He insists that the 25-year-old carries a Gareth Bale-esque “unstoppable” quality. Tottenham fans would know a thing or two about Bale and his immense quality. And speaking with talkSPORT as he discussed the Lilywhites’ transfer target Semenyo, he said:
“He has exploded out of the traps this season and he just looks really comfortable in himself. Every game you see him do something and you go, ‘Oh my goodness’… he’s one of those rare players, and I call players like this unstoppable.
Gareth Bale was like that.
“When I talk about unstoppable, I’m talking about their attributes. When Bale started to move, you just couldn’t stop him, and Semenyo is the same.
“Once he gets going, he’s going past people, and he’s gliding. What’s good about him is that he can go both ways. I think he’s got the full package.”
Semenyo has shown elite levels in most of his outings this season. But that also means that clubs along the English top tier have taken notice.
And alongside Tottenham, the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal have also been looking at him, which makes it tricky for the chiefs at Hotspur Way.
The Reds are said to be looking at him as a possible replacement for Mo Salah on that right flank. While the Gunners are looking to add some depth and quality out wide as well, with Leandro Trossard linked with a probable Emirates Stadium exit.
Now for Tottenham to sign him among the aforementioned suitors, the club will have to highlight his integral role in the project at N17 under Thomas Frank.
