Marcus Rashford is expected to join FC Barcelona on a loan deal with an option to buy from Manchester United . The English forward was eager to join the Catalan club, according to many reports.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Rashford is expected to be presented as a new FC Barcelona player on Tuesday. The deal is great for both clubs as Barcelona will not need to pay a fee at the moment, while Man United avoids paying Rashford's wages.
Rahsford is reportedly taking a 15% pay cut, and his salary is around $16 million a year. The $34 million option to buy clause will be available for Barcelona in June 2026.
Barcelona have sealed all the documents of Rashford deal, set to land in Spain.

Rashford's loan move to Barcelona benefits Manchester United financially, and it could get better next summer if the Spanish giants opt to trigger to option to buy clause.
The Times reports that Rashford's deal with Barcelona will lead to savings of around $22.8 million from Manchester United's wage bill. The English club is reportedly looking to offload players from the squad ahead of next season.
Not covering Rashford's wages begins a task Man United has in increasing savings from wages. The club is likely looking to sell players like Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Jadon Sancho this summer as they don't appear to fit in Ruben Amorim's plan for next season.
The wages are the issue that stops other clubs from approaching to place a bid for these players this summer. With Rashford gone for one season, the club may choose to do similar deals. Man United is still looking to bring in more signings this summer.
The extra funds are expected to be used for the striker position, for Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres. Sesko seems the likely choice after Gyokeres is rumored to join Arsenal, but the club may still pursue the Swedish striker.
Rashford will be the first English player to play for FC Barcelona since GaryLineker signed in 1986. Rashford is set to become the fourth English player to play for the Catalan club.
The first English player to play for Barca was Steve Archibald in 1984, who played 78 games for the club. Lineker and Mark Hughes arrived at Barcelona in 1986.
Hughes played 37 matches for the club while Lineker played 138 games. Lineker scored 51 times for the Blaugrana.
