Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini was happy with their draw at Real Madrid.

Betis signed off for the season with a 0-0 result in Madrid.

Pellegrini said, "First, a very positive balance of the match because we came with eleven fewer players to play against the champion of Spain in their field, which is also playing in the Champions League final and played its starting team.

"We stood up to him as equals, we had the best chances. There is that somewhat conflictive goal, I haven't seen it for the second time, but from what they say, it doesn't intervene to make Courtois make that mistake. But there is a referee and VAR and they are the ones who decide."

On Toni Kroos' farewell, the former Real Madrid coach added: "Well, I would say what he has not contributed to the Spanish League... Titles, quality, level, it is a pity that he does not continue because he is a player who makes important differences.

"He made that decision at 34 years old, he will have all his reasons, but without a doubt that LaLiga loses a high-level player."
