Real Betis in talks to sign Manchester United striker

Real Betis have experienced varying levels of success throughout their games this season with their results leaving them sixth in LaLiga.

In their 21 games so far this season, Betis have won eight times, drew eight times, and lost on just five occasions.

However, with only the top four qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, improvement is needed if Real Betis are to qualify for next season’s tournament.

One way in which they can increase their chances of improvement is through the January transfer window, which is currently in its final few days.

So far this month, the LaLiga outfit have not signed another but have let both Félix Garreta and Sergio Arribas leave on free transfers whilst Gonzalo Petit has left Betis on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Now, with multiple players already out of the door, Spanish outlet AS have linked the side with a move for Manchester United striker Gabriele Biancheri with Real Betis in talks over a potential deal.

Meanwhile, the source has revealed that United intend on loan the striker out during the final stages of the transfer window, with Betis has its sights set on the forward should the correct factors fall into place.

However, should Betis pursue a move, there is some complications that could prevent a potential deal.

Firstly, due to him not being an European Union player, and the additional factor of there currently being no space in the first-team, the striker may have to be registered with the reserve team.

If this option was to be pursued, there could be further difficulties which may lead to the deal taking longer.

Gabriele Biancheri has already made his international debut and a move to Spain (even if on loan) could aid him in his professional development.

Now, Betis and United supporters may turn to see if a deal is completed before the transfer window closes.
