Lille starlet Leny Yoro will likely be on the move this summer, but his destination and the fees involved are questions that are exercising plenty of attention across Europe. Three of Europe’s giants are all in pursuit of him, but it’s a waiting game as things stand.

The 18-year-old central defender has just a year left on his deal and will not sign a new one in North France, while Lille turned down an offer from Paris Saint-Germain in January. Real Madrid are his preferred destination, and they have been looking at him for some time, but have set a price limit on what they are willing to spend on him. Meanwhile Liverpool have also been scouting him, although it is not certain whether they will enter the race.

What all three have in common is that they are waiting: Fabrizio Romano has told Caught Offside that the trio want to find out Lille’s asking price before the wheels kick into motion on a deal. Depending on that number, which previous reports have put at a remarkable €60m, that could have a major impact on where he ends up going.

If there is not much difference between Lille’s asking price and what Real Madrid are offering, then Los Blancos will immediately become strong favourites for his signature. Liverpool are unlikely to blow the other two out of the water with their offer either, but Lille are reportedly keen to avoid selling him to Ligue 1 rivals PSG if possible.
