Kylian Mbappé’s contract expires on June 30, and he will head to Real Madrid in a few weeks. Nonetheless, the Frenchman’s arrival will move players down the pecking order, affecting their playing time.

Endrick will also join Mbappé, meaning there will be fierce competition for minutes next season at the Spanish club. As a result, a player or two might consider leaving if their playing time decreases in the next campaign.

According to Sport (h/t Sport.fr), Rodrygo’s playing time might be affected due to his lack of goal-scoring efficiency, with just one goal every 194 minutes, a lower ratio than players like Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, or Brahim Diaz.

Although Rodrygo compensates with significant defensive work when Real loses possession, this might not be enough to keep Mbappé on the bench. Despite this, Carlo Ancelotti remains fully confident in Rodrygo.

It’s clear that when Mbappé joins the team, he will likely secure a starting position. The team’s tactical setup is still uncertain, but Sport reports that Ancelotti might switch from the usual 4-3-3 formation to a 4-4-2, with Mbappé and Vinicius Junior leading the attack.
