AC Milan and Inter could soon engage in a new transfer race, with Atletico Madrid’s Rodrigo De Paul catching both sides’ attention.
Per Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo via FCInterNews, the Argentina international is about to leave the Metropolitano Stadium.
However, the San Siro clubs aren’t the only teams in the race.
Indeed, Spanish giants Galatasaray have identified Rodrigo De Paul as a potential replacement for Mario Lemina.
On the other hand, Los Rojiblancos are willing to listen to offers for the ex-Udinese midfielder.
De Paul’s contract in Madrid runs out in 12 months.
Therefore, Diego Simeone’s men are in a hurry to sell the 31-year-old.
Otherwise, they’d risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Meanwhile, Milan and Inter are aware of the situation and could soon try to strike a deal on favorable terms.
No stranger to Serie A, De Paul made his name in Udine, where he flourished between 2016 and 2021.
As such, he may fancy a return to his old stomping ground.
Elsewhere, Milan and Inter remain embroiled in a fierce transfer race for Torino stalwart Samuele Ricci.
