Lautaro Martinez will soon resume training and could be ready for the Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Sassuolo.

According to FCInterNews, the Argentine megastar worked separately from the group today, trying to recover from a back injury.

Indeed, El Toro spent the day in the gym after Cristian Chivu left him on the bench in last night’s win against Ajax.

Francesco Pio Esposito, who took his place in Amsterdam, is ready to replace him again in case he fails to recover.

Lautaro Martinez to Return to Training Tomorrow Ahead of Inter Milan vs Sassuolo Clash

The 28-year-old has been on the sidelines since last weekend’s clash against Juventus.

Indeed, Chivu took him off midway through the second half due to back pain.

However, the same problem prevented Lautaro from featuring in Inter’s opening Champions League clash against Ajax.

Despite missing Thursday’s fixture, he could be in the squad for Sassuolo’s visit to San Siro on Sunday.

Furthermore, he will resume full training tomorrow.

In case he doesn’t, Chivu will have to choose between Ange-Yoan Bonny and Esposito.
