Report – Atalanta Earmark Liverpool Outcast As Replacement For Inter Milan-Bound Forward

Atalanta have reportedly identified Liverpool flop Federico Chiesa as a replacement for Inter Milan-bound Ademola Lookman.

According to Sportitalia via FCInterNews, La Dea are willing to offer around €12 million for the Italian winger.

Federico Chiesa left Serie A to join Liverpool last summer.

Despite Inter’s interest, the 27-year-old chose Anfield, but he soon came to regret this decision.

Indeed, the ex-Juventus forward had a terrible season in the Premier League and wants to return to Italy.

Liverpool are open to letting Chiesa return to his homeland after signing Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

However, the Reds must help Atalanta handle the winger’s substantial wages.

Meanwhile, the former Europa League winners are ready to offer Chiesa a three-year contract at the Gewiss Stadium.

Atalanta’s interest in Chiesa suggests they’re preparing for life after Ademola Lookman.

Indeed, the Nigerian has agreed to join Inter, even though the clubs are still at odds over a transfer fee.
