Report – Besiktas Want Inter Milan Outcast On A Free Transfer

Inter Milan flop Mehdi Taremi has become a concrete transfer target for the Turkish Super Lig powerhouse Besiktas.

According to Fotomac via FCInterNews, the Turks have stepped up efforts to sign the Iranian in recent hours.

Mehdi Taremi is on the verge of quitting the Nerazzurri a year after joining the club from Porto.

Indeed, the 33-year-old had an unenviable first season at San Siro.

Therefore, new coach Cristian Chivu doesn’t see him as part of his project.

With Inter putting Taremi on the market, foreign clubs have started taking notes.

Indeed, Fulham and West Ham United have taken interest.

Elsewhere, a potential return to Porto has recently emerged as another possibility for the veteran striker.

However, Besiktas have taken the lead in the race after making direct contact with the player’s entourage.

After receiving ‘positive’ signals from Taremi’s camp, they’re ready to intensify talks to bring him to Istanbul.

Yet, Besiktas are hoping to sign Taremi on a free transfer, while Inter won’t let him go for less than €8 million.
