Report – Bologna Evaluate Ambitious Plan To Sign Esposito Brothers From Inter Milan

Bologna have reportedly laid eyes on Inter Milan youngsters Sebastiano and Francesco Pio Esposito heading into the summer transfer window.

According to Resto del Carlino via FCInterNews, the Coppa Italia winners could contact the Nerazzurri over the Esposito brothers.

Sebastiano Esposito will return to San Siro after a decent season-long loan at Empoli.

Despite Gli Azzurri’s relegation to Serie B, the 22-year-old fared well in Tuscany.

However, Empoli’s precarious financial situation forced them to give up the buyout option.

Meanwhile, Francesco Pio Esposito has enjoyed a remarkable season at Spezia.

Like his brother, he will return to base this summer to discuss his future with Inter.

Bologna Set Sights on Inter Milan Duo Sebastiano & Francesco Pio Esposito

Simone Inzaghi holds both brothers in high regard, with Sebastiano likely to make Inter’s FIFA Club World Cup squad.

As for Francesco Pio, he is one of Italy’s brightest prospects, and Inter are keen to integrate him into the first-team squad.

However, the Serie A runners-up do not want to do it overnight.

Instead, they want the 19-year-old to become familiar with top-flight requirements before joining the senior team.

That’s where Bologna may come into play.

Indeed, Vincenzo Italiano’s men could revamp their attacking options this summer.

Jens Odgaard and Thijs Dallinga could leave Renato Dall’Ara, which may open space for the Esposito brothers.
