Despite being heavily linked with a move to Cagliari, Inter Milan outcast Sebastiano Esposito is on the verge of joining Parma.

According to Centotrentuno via FCInterNews, a key disagreement between the clubs has halted negotiations.

With Sebastiano Esposito in the final year of his contract, Inter are under pressure to cash in on him this summer.

Therefore, the Serie A runners-up are not in a position to drive a hard bargain.

Cagliari Set to Miss Out on Inter Milan Bust Sebastiano Esposito

Despite being in a difficult spot, there’s a specific threshold Inter have no intention of lowering.

Indeed, they’ve already reduced their asking price to a mere €4 million.

However, not even that was enough for Cagliari, who insisted on a loan deal with an option to buy.

The clause would become mandatory in case of survival. Yet, Inter had no interest in such terms.

Instead, they’re keen to sell the 23-year-old immediately.

Therefore, Parma have quickly overtaken Cagliari in the race for the striker’s signature.

He’s now one step away from swapping San Siro for Ennio Tardini.
