Multiple sources suggest former Milan and Bologna defender Davide Calabria is ready to sign a three-year contract with Panathinaikos.
The right-back is a free agent after his contract was allowed to run down, having been sent out on loan to Bologna for the last six months of the season.
Curiously, this enabled him to become the only player in the 2024-25 campaign to win two trophies, as he was in the Milan squad for the Supercoppa Italiana and the Bologna team that won the Coppa Italia Final.
Matteo Moretto and Sky Sport Italia both confirm that Calabria has decided to accept the proposal from Panathinaikos, who are offering him a three-year contract.
He is still only 28 years of age and an Italy international with seven senior caps to his name.
There had also been interest from Sassuolo and Fiorentina within Serie A, Crystal Palace in England, and LOSC in Ligue 1, but Panathinaikos would appear to have convinced him.
