Galatasaray reportedly consider the wage demands of Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer to be far too high.
This according to Turkish outlet Fanatik, via FCInterNews. They report that the 36-year-old wants €7-8 million net per season, whilst Galatasaray are offering €2,5-3 million net per season.
By now, Galatasaray’s interest in signing Hakan Calhanoglu has become a dominant theme of Inter’s transfer window.
However, Calhanoglu is not the only Inter player who the Turkish champions are thinking of a move for.
According to Fanatik, Galatasaray are also keen to sign Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
The former Bayern Munich and Borussia Monchengladbach keeper is one year from the end of his contract. His deal expires at the end of June 2026.
Fanatik report that Galatasaray have turned their attention to Sommer from Chelsea’s Djordje Petrovic and Lyon’s Lucas Perri.
However, the outlet report, Sommer’s demands as far as wages have presented a major obstacle.
Fanatik report that Sommer would want wages of around €7-8 million to join Galatasaray.
On the other hand, the Turkish champions are only going as high as €2.5-3 million with their offer.
Meanwhile, Fanatik report, Galatasaray would only offer Inter a fee of around €1-2 million for Sommer.
