Galatasaray have yet to make contact with Inter Milan for Hakan Calhanoglu despite holding a genuine interest in the player.

Per Sportitalia via FCInterNews, the Turkish giants have already informed the player’s entourage about their interest.

However, convincing Inter to give a seal of approval could be the tricky part.

Indeed, the Serie A runners-up see Hakan Calhanoglu as a vital first-team asset.

Therefore, they won’t let him go without a fight, even though the player looks eager to return to his homeland.

Inter Milan Yet to Receive Any Offer from Galatasaray for Hakan Calhanoglu

Galatasaray’s interest in the 31-year-old star is genuine.

Furthermore, they’re reportedly willing to table a €30 million bid, spread over three installments, to tempt Inter to sell.

However, negotiations have yet to start, perhaps partly due to Inter’s trip to the United States for the Club World Cup.

Calhanoglu is part of the traveling squad, but Cristian Chivu cannot count on him for the opening match against Monterrey.

Indeed, the deep-lying playmaker trained separately from the group yesterday as he aims to regain full fitness.
