Turkish giants Galatasaray have reportedly made an offer of €17 million to Inter Milan for midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri rejected this bid out of hand, but that they are at the negotiating table.
Galatasaray’s interest in Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has become virtually the worst-kept secret in football.
Whilst the Turkish champions have yet to directly approach Inter, they’ve made it clear behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, Calhanoglu himself is keen on the move, according to widespread reports in Turkish media.
What has been missing for weeks, however, has been an actual offer from Galatasaray to Inter.
According to SportMediaset, Galatasaray have now made an official offer to Inter for Calhanoglu.
The Istanbul giants have put a bid of €17 million on the table. That is right in line with their long-reported intention to start with an offer of around €15 million.
Meanwhile, Inter are reportedly holding out for anywhere between €30-40 million.
Therefore, SportMediaset report, Inter have rejected the €17 million bid swiftly.
Nevertheless, the broadcaster anticipate, the two clubs are now very much in talks.
