Galatasaray have reportedly sounded out a move to sign Inter Milan and France defender Benjamin Pavard.
This according to Italian transfer reporter Matteo Moretto, via FCInter1908. He reports that so far the Istanbul giants are just exploring a deal through intermediaries.
Inter Milan signed Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich two years ago. The World Cup winner arrived in the summer of 2023.
And when Pavard came to Inter, the Frenchman had a transformative impact.
The former Stuttgart defender seemed to be the missing piece in defense for Inter. He was one of the outstanding performers as Inter won the Serie A title in dominant fashion.
However, last season things were a bit different. Pavard dealt with a couple notable injuries over the course of the campaign. And furthermore, he made some high profile errors.
And in the meantime, this allowed German international defender Yann Bisseck to become ever more prominent in the Nerazzurri starting eleven.
Italian transfer reporter Matteo Moretto report that Inter definitely do not want to sell Bisseck this summer.
On the other hand, Moretto anticipates, the Nerazzurri would be willing to listen to offers for Pavard.
No bids have come in for the former Bayern Munich defender yet.
However, Moretto report that Galatasaray have been sounding out a deal.
So far, he adds, the Turkish champions have not made contact with Inter or Pavard directly.
However, work is underway with intermediaries to see whether a deal would be realistic.
