Report – Genoa Open To Discuss Transfer Of Inter Milan Target

Inter Milan have received a significant transfer boost in their pursuit of Genoa defender Koni De Winter.

According to Il Secolo XIX via FCInter1908, the Griffins are open to selling their star center-back this summer.

Parma starlet Giovanni Leoni remains a dream defensive signing for the Nerazzurri.

Indeed, Cristian Chivu has already asked the club to sign the 18-year-old, whom he coached at Ennio Tardini last term.

However, the Crusaders’ substantial €40 million asking price continues to throw a spanner in the works.

Inter Milan Handed Koni De Winter Transfer Boost

Before making more incoming deals, Inter must first sell several out-of-favor squad members.

Furthermore, they’re willing to stretch their budget to the limit to lure Ademola Lookman away from Atalanta.

Therefore, they’re at risk of running out of funds.

Nonetheless, there’s a feeling that Beppe Marotta could strengthen Chivu’s defensive options until the end of August.

Despite being priced out of a move for Leoni, Inter could add to their backline.

De Winter is the man in question, with Genoa willing to listen to offers for the 23-year-old.
