Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has reportedly denied rumours that he’s desperate to join Galatasaray behind the scenes.
Today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that the Turk has told the Nerazzurri that the reports from Turkish media have been exaggerated.
The links between Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu and Galtasaray have grown very strong in recent weeks.
Fuelling the rumours have been a steady stream of reports from Turkish media.
Yesterday, there was a report that Calhanoglu is all but desperate to join Galatasaray. According to this report, the 31-year-old feels that this is the perfect time for the move, and that it’s “now or never.”
However, according to the Corriere dello Sport, Calhanoglu has given Inter a somewhat different version of events.
The newspaper anticipate that the Turkish international has told Inter that he never made comments of that nature.
Therefore, Hakan Calhanoglu may not be pushing for the move to happen in the way reports from Turkish media suggest.
