Inter Milan and AC Milan could seal the deal to buy the land around the San Siro to build a new stadium by this weekend.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan and AC Milan continue to work on their efforts to build a new stadium in the San Siro area.

The two clubs will not be able to tear down the existing stadium and build in its place. However, they are planning to build a new stadium in the San Siro, adjacent to the current one.

According to La Repubblica, there was a meeting between Inter, AC Milan, and the city of Milan earlier this week.

Representing the Rossoneri were club President Paolo Scaroni and senior figures from owners RedBird Capital.

Meanwhile, senior figures from owners of Inter Oaktree Capital were also at the meeting.

Inter & AC Milan Could Seal San Siro Land Deal By This Weekend

According to La Repubblica, the meeting this week was not decisive.

However, the parties have gotten very close to an agreement for the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri to buy the land around the San Siro.

According to the newspaper, the negotiations are now virtually ongoing 24/7.

Moreover, La Repubblica anticipate, it will not be difficult to find an agreement on a price.

The city Revenue Agency evaluated the land at around €197 million. However, the clubs could reduce this slightly in negotiations – possibly deducting the cost of land reclamation.

Then, La Repubblica report, the clubs will not pay the cost in a single instalment.

Therefore, there is still work to be in negotiations. But according to the newspaper, things are right at the finish line this week – and an agreement could be found by this weekend.
