Cesar Azpilicueta has informed Chelsea he is looking to try a new challenge this summer and move away from Chelsea, and Inter Milan could be the club he joins.

Inter are interested in Azpilicueta and are now reportedly moving closer to a move for the Spanish defender. The deal will be a permanent one with Chelsea wanting to get a fee for Azpilicueta with just one-year left on his deal.

The Italian side are currently in financial trouble, so any fee will have to be minimal.

As reported by Pasquale Guarro, Inter Milan are now moving closer to the signing of Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta.

Current Inter defender Danilo D'Ambrosio is expected to part ways with the Italian side, and Cesar Azpilicueta will be brought in as his replacement.

Azpilicueta nearly joined Barcelona last summer and in January, but he stayed at Chelsea in the end. The feeling is he will not be here after this summer.

The defender informed Chelsea of his intentions to try a new challenge, and Inter Milan are keen to be the club to give him that challenge.

With a year left on his current deal it's the perfect time for Chelsea to cash in on the player, who has a market value of €5million.

Inter Milan are also interested in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah but it's felt a loan deal is more likely for Chalobah at this time. The Italian side could have a deal done for Azpilicueta soon.
