Inter Milan and Canada winger Tajon Buchanan will undergo medicals on Sunday ahead of a move to Villarreal.
This according to Canadian broadcaster TSN, via FCInterNews. They anticipate that the deal will be worth around $10 million Canadian.
Villarreal have agreed a deal with Inter to sign Tajon Buchanan on a permanent basis.
The 26-year-old has already been on loan with the Spanish club over the second half of last season. He joined on loan during the January transfer window.
Villarreal had had a purchase option at the end of the deal. However, they declined to exercise it.
Nevertheless, Villarreal never lost interest in bringing Buchanan back next season.
The Yellow Submarin were not the only club keen on the former Club Brugge winger’s signature.
The likes of Brentford and Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly eyed up a deal.
Then, Sassuolo had also seemingly been close to signing Buchanan, keeping the Canadian in Serie A.
However, in the end Villarreal were the club that pushed the strongest in negotiations. They have agreed a deal with Inter worth $10 million Canadian, TSN report.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Inter will receive 20% of future resale.
And Buchanan will officially complete the switch this weekend. TSN report that the Canadian international will undergo his medicals this Sunday.
