Inter Milan will reportedly consider a swoop for Chelsea outcast Christopher Nkunku if they fail to sign Ademola Lookman.

According to Il Messaggero via FCInter1908, the French forward has emerged as a potential ‘Plan B.’

However, Cristian Chivu’s men remain confident of signing the 27-year-old Nigerian.

Talks with Atalanta have reached advanced stages despite La Dea’s intention to drive a hard bargain.

Indeed, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before they crack under pressure.

Chivu has identified Ademola Lookman as an ideal attacking reinforcement.

Therefore, Inter have put in maximum effort to secure his signature.

However, if their quest to lure him away from Bergamo comes a cropper, they’ll need to consider other options.

Juventus flop Nico Gonzalez is a viable alternative despite his lackluster season at the Allianz Stadium.

Yet, Inter may look beyond Serie A borders to strengthen their frontline.

As such, Nkunku could be a solution, especially with Chelsea open to selling him on favorable terms.
