Report – Inter Milan Evaluating Cagliari Goalkeeper For Next Summer As Swiss Veteran Ready To Wave Goodbye

Serie A giants Inter Milan have reportedly added Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile to their list of targets for next summer.

According to FCInter1908, the former Napoli shot-stopper has emerged as Yann Sommer’s potential heir.

Inter will, in all likelihood, sever ties with Yann Sommer at the end of the season.

Indeed, the Swiss veteran has less than 12 months left to run on his current contract at San Siro.

However, the Nerazzurrri will unlikely offer him fresh terms.

Despite signing Josep Martinez from Genoa last summer, Inter have yet to give the Spaniard a chance to shine.

Indeed, former boss Simone Inzaghi handed the 27-year-old only ten appearances in all competitions last season.

Yet, after Sommer’s poor performance against Juventus, Martinez could get a more prominent role under Cristian Chivu.

If he fails to impress, Inter will return to the market for a new keeper next summer.

Caprile, who swapped Napoli for Cagliari in the summer, could be an option for the Serie A powerhouse.
