Inter Milan misfit Sebastiano Esposito is reportedly keen to join Serie A minnows Cagliari despite an ongoing stalemate in talks.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 23-year-old ‘only wants’ the Sardinians.
Esposito’s contract at San Siro runs out next summer.
Therefore, Inter must sell their outcast in a hurry to avoid losing him on a free transfer in 12 months.
Meanwhile, several Italian clubs have shown interest in Esposito, including Cagliari and Fiorentina.
Cagliari’s first offer for Sebastiano Esposito fell short of Inter’s request.
While the Sardinians have tabled a €3 million bid, the Serie A runners-up are holding out for €4 million.
However, the valuation difference is not the only sticking point.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri are insisting on getting a substantial percentage from any future sale.
Yet, Inter’s idea of including a 50% sell-on clause is unacceptable to Cagliari.
Therefore, negotiations have hit a standstill.
With time ticking away, the pressure is growing on Inter as Esposito aims to move to the Unipol Domus.
